Broadway, Hawthorne, California 90250 on August 21, 2015.
Mrs. Josefa Mariñas was a nice veteran English Teacher at Mapua Institute of Technology High School for many years already.
Mrs. Josefa Mariñas died from her sleep on August 14, 2015 one week before her 78th birthday on August 21, 2015.
There are many people including the students of Mapua Institute of
Technology High School and the members of the alumni association as
well.
I met some of my batchmates, too at the funeral service.
She will be cremated on Wednesday or Thursday after the funeral service. Her ashes will send back home in Philippines.

I went to Hawthorne, California, USA on
August 21, 2015 to attend the Funeral Service of Mrs. Josefa Mariñas. Mrs. Mariñas was a nice English Teacher at Mapua Institute of Technology
High School.
I left from Newark, California at 8:30 am and I assumed that I will
arrive at Hawthorne, California at around 4:00 pm. I did my stop-over at
Love's Gas Station in Bakersfield, California to put gas at my car and
have my lunch at Arby's.
The traffic was so heavy and congested at Los Angeles Area especially along I-5, US-101, and I-405 (Los Angeles International Airport). Thanks God that I arrived at Douglas & Dunaway Mortuary at 4:15 pm. The funeral service was started at 4:00 pm. Many people are late also aside from me.

On August 1, 2015, we went to Cache Creek Hotel and Casino in Brooks, California, USA with my mother together with her friends and former coworkers at Portal Publishing, Inc.
They had their mini-reunion at my house in Vacaville, California at noon till afternoon. My mother cooked Filipino dishes like Kare-Kare with Bagoong, Mechado, Leche Flan, Halo-Halo, Biko, and Cassava Cake. After their mini-reunion, we went to Vacaville Premium Outlet to buy their things that they need at home for wholesale or factory price.
After, their shopping at Vacaville Premium Outlets, we went all together to Cache Creek Hotel and Casino. We had a dinner there before we begin with playing of slot machines, roulette, and cards. We spend our night there till 3:00 am.
